Lesson #01
Presentation of the sealed hermetic
system
The sealed hermetic system is where the refrigerant
fluid
flows through
For best
comprehension, let's show the parts of the hermetic system
Later we will
describe the system as a whole
The
evaporator
Below we can see the evaporator
This part
is aluminium made
But why does it have this name, if nothing evaporates
from it ?

As a matter of fact, nothing evaporates from the
external side of the evaporator
The fluid evaporates only in the internal
pipes of
the evaporator
Inside the evaporator, the fluid passes from its liquid
form to gas form
So an evaporation happens inside it
This the origin
of the name evaporator
Condenser
The condenser is a part that is
always hot

The condenser works the opposite of the
evaporator
The fluid enter the evaporator on its liquid form and leaves it in
gas form
During the condenser process, the fluid loses its warmth which
is dissipated over the air
Dryer
filter
After leaving the condenser, the gas passes through
the dryer filter
In the picture below you can see three filter types and all
of them has the same function

Air
conditioned dryer filter
Below we show a dryer filter for
air conditioned, only for didactic purposes

In the dryer filter, all the moisture from the fluid is
absorbed
Capillary
tube
It's a tube thinner than the other tubes of the
system
The capillary filter is right after the filter

After passing trough the capilar tube, the
pression of the fluid drops and the fluid goes to the evaporator
Compressor
After passing trough the capillary
tube, the pressure of the fluid drops and the fluid goes to the
evaporator
Compressor is the heart of the system
This is the component which many layman call motor
It pulls the fluid
towards the evaporator and the sucks it back from the compressor
So, the
fluid circulates by through the system

Notice that this compressor has three tubes, input, output and working
tube
The working tube is only used to maintenance
Don't worry about tubes function now
They will be widely studied along the
course
